In Punjab , addressing an election rally at Gurdaspur on Tuesday, Congress President Sonia Gandhi said that the Central Government had never discriminated in diverting funds to the sate.
She said, the UPA government would set a commission which would investigate the false cases registered against the Congressmen by the present govt. Mrs. Gandhi blamed SAD-BJP alliance government in Punjab for spending the funds meant for Centre sponsored schemes on organizing Sangat darshan programs and pushing the state down from number one position in the country. Later, she also addressed a rally at Samrala near Ludhiana and called upon the people to vote for Congress in the assembly elections for overall development of the state. |
