Kolkata:The 18th Kolkata International Film Festival began in Kolkata on Saturday. 180 films from 60 different countries directed by 120 directors will be exhibited in the festival. The 8 day festival was inaugurated by Bollywood’s matinee idol Amitabh Bachchan in the presence of another Bollywood star Shaharukh Khan. Three Bollywood stars Mithun Chaktaborty, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma were also present apart from a host of other actor and actress from the Tollywood Film and Television Industry. The inauguration programme took place at the Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata. The main theme of this year’s Kolkata International Film festival will be Africa.
